Louis Curth forest ranger history papers, 1881-1988.

This collection contains all of the files and research materials related to Curth's forest ranger history along with the edited and revised book manuscripts. Materials inlcude maps, letters, minutes of district ranger meeting (1912-1928), and periodical articles about forest fires, fire towers and search and rescue operations. Information about licensed guides and the New York State Forest Preserve Centennial (1935) is included as well associated patches and stickers. Miscellaneous NYS pamphlets relating to topics of interest to forest rangers ranging in date from the 1930's through the 1980's fill one box.
